Few other countries produce wines as impressive and diverse in style as Australia. Yet recent weather events – droughts, fires, floods – and the disruption caused by COVID-19 means our local growers and winemakers are doing it tougher than ever.

If ever there was a time to choose Australian wine over imported, it’s now.

Pick Australian, an initiative of Wine Selectors on behalf of our friends and partners in the Australian wine industry, was founded to try and encourage people to discover for themselves just how good this country’s wine is, and to make their next pick Australian.

Who are Wine Selectors?

As an Australian family-owned and operated business, Wine Selectors has worked closely with local wine producers for over 45 years. We believe our wines are the best in the world, which is why we only select Australian wine for our customers.

But more importantly, we know first-hand just how much hard work and passion goes into every bottle – and just how crucial the ongoing support of Australian wine lovers is, to ensure the long-term sustainability of one of our nation’s primary industries.

Why is Wine Selectors doing this?

We think that Australian wine is the best in the world. But recent events have shown just how vulnerable our wine industry is not only to Mother Nature, but to external forces beyond anyone’s control – and how long it can take for it to recover from the impacts of such unforeseen circumstances.

Given this, Wine Selectors believes it just makes sense to promote our local growers and makers, and to Pick Australian. Change starts with us. We want to champion and amplify an important message of support for these artists of the vine, to encourage others to help keep our growers growing. Because the best way to ensure our wine industry can endure into the future, is to act today.
